Microporous insulation coatings:

Glass Clothing PMRC02
Glass clothing is a glass woven material cut into shape and glued on to insulation using PMR high temperature adhesive.
PMRC02 coating is a water based product that can be sprayed or brush applied.

 

Advantages:                   High temperature 6000C Improved handling        High strength                         Reduced surface dusting

 

 

Advantages:                   High temperature 9000C     It is non-flammable        Increased edge stability     Cost effective    Dimensional stability Reduced surface dusting      

 

Disadvantages:                   Expensive to apply on complex shapes   
Disadvantages:                   No additional strength 

Fibre boards and block coating:

Sodium silicate adhesive   Hardener                      
Sodium silicate adhesive is a thick coating that can be brush applied to give a shell like coating.

 

Hardener is a coating that can be applied by brush or sprayed 

 

Advantages:                  High temperature 6000C Increased edge stability Cost effective
 
Advantages:                  High temperature 5000C Increased edge stability Cost effective    Dimensional stability
Disadvantages:                  Dimensional instability

 

 
Disadvantages:                  In certain conditions adds  no surface hardness
